Beeswax
Beeswax contains biologically active flavonoids and makes ointments pleasantly thick. The main flavonoid in beeswax is chrysin, which is antimicrobial, supports cell turnover and reduces inflammation. It is therefore suitable for sores, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. Beeswax helps to reduce dry lips and retain moisture thanks to its fatty acid esters and long-chain fatty alcohols. The beta-carotene in the formula converts into vitamin A, which slows down the breakdown of collagen and promotes the recovery of the lips’ surface by stimulating skin cell division. The sterols in beeswax reduce the dryness of the lip surface and make beeswax suitable for atopic dermatitis. Creates a layer on the skin which retains moisture.
